Very moving. A great help in understanding dementia and its emotional impact. The power of music.
Yesterday I believed I have heard the best version of this piece, but this one is even better. In fact, the best I have heard, ever.

Amazing!!!
This is so beautiful. You guys are amazing
I recently noticed I've lost my CD of the Heifetz/Primrose RCA recording. I hadn't heard this piece in a while, so this performance was great for me.
Wow
So brilliant
Stunning performance. Top notch ensemble. And the dialogues between A. Sitkovetksy and T. Ridout are unworldly subtle and endlessly profound.
Beautifully played - so sensitive. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Nice interpretation. Timothy has the upper hand technically and musically, but still great music making!
K364 was a masterpiece of creation by Mozart and these two execute this very well indeed, Tim and Alexander work so well together, it's a conversation! they talk they harmonise they agree and joust they make love.they cry, the share pathos just incredible, the orchestra has equally important role not just providing background accompaniment but bringing an extra dynamic dimension of musicality only Mozart could do. Love Tim's facial expression His love for this is quite clear. Bravo!!
Why have I only just discovered this gem today?! 🤩
Very excellent performance by this young orchestra. Quite enjoyable.

altro che "sturm un drang". il Romanticismo e' nato con Mozart. passione e eleganza. come qui."la vera musica e' quella che sta fra le note" WAM
Brilliant
I love this version. I don’t want to be that person; especially that, I am no pro musician, but I can't help but feel that something is off...just past 29:56 for the viola. Idk still one of my favourite versions
He played one flat note in the high scale, but the recording stays pretty much the best I’ve heard regardless.
@@brickfather2222 ikr. I don't usually notice these things but the good playing really maintained my focus.
Hi I swear I’m not lying but I was in that dance with a blue cardigan and flower clips
Great Performance!
Brand new release! A lively piece for full Orchestra and Piano in seven-time, hope to lift your Summer spirits- in seven! ruclips.net/video/H-lTJFy40qU/видео.html Thanks!
0:00 Allegro maestoso 13:07 Andante 24:35 Presto
Wonderful performance -both orchestra and soloists
Bravi
Very nice! But I prefer big viola with sound close to cello
actually this is a pretty big viola! Its sound is, in my view, the perfect combination of alto and baritone on different strings
His viola is around 17inches…. Which is BIG! 😂
@@joy950453 how Not happening. I'm a violist of high stature and I play 16 inches, and this violist is short and it's clear that he has a small viola.))
A wonderful performance of a wonderful piece. They deserve the rapturous applause that's sadly missing from this Covid recording.
Thank you Jess for playing the soprano with such a marvelous sound (and intonation too..😊)
What an extraordinary piece of music, probably composed when Mozart hadn't quite been potty trained.
Mozart the godlike musician.....the andante is just profoundly
Fantastic and amazing recording! Many congratulations from Germany!
Pellegrino it is! ;)
Lovely
Absolutely magnificent. Well done!
Powerful stuff Lady. I heard some time ago that Lesley Stevens was diagnosed with early onset dementia. Do you know any more than me?
Utterly mesmerising thank you Petroc Trelawny for your recommendation. Let us not Judge and let the music be the medicine. XpeaceX
Thank you so much Paul!
Are strongly influenced by the composer's visit to the court of Mannheim. Under the influence of the composer-conductor Christian Cannabich of the mighty Manchai Orchestra - the key of the work is E flat major - the original score for the viola is written in D major, which is a semitone lower. Since the viola is tuned a semitone higher (Accorda un mezzo tono più alto), this makes it possible to use “open strings” more frequently. It is this process that allowed Mozart at the time to give the viola a brighter sound, closer to that of the violin (and also facilitated, at the same time, the execution of the viola part) , in order to obtain a clearer, tighter, more vigorous sound. Nowadays, violists mostly play in E flat major, which gives the instrument a darker, sadder, more romantic sound. The complex orchestral dynamics of the composition reflect the growing technical proficiency of the European orchestra of that period and were strongly influenced by the cavalier de Saint-George whom he had met in Paris and whose Violin Concerto No. 5 Mozart quotes in the final movement.
Finally, a recording where the viola predominates. The violinist plays a little bit sharp, which is typical of violinists today. They use it as a form of projection; but it's quite annoying if you have really good ears. I'm very pleasantly surprised by the violist.

Mozart is very content! So am I.
Deserves many many more likes than it has gotten in 10 months! Superb! Exhilarating! Mozart would be delighted I have no doubt! G Ire
Nothing short of exhilarating. Hank you.
